GREAT ARE THE WORKS OF THE LORD
THEY ARE PONDERED BY ALL WHO DELIGHT IN HIM"  psalm 112:2

 So many people who love the Lord take photos or paint,write poetry or perhaps play an instrument.
 I wonder if this is how they ponder his works!

 When i write, it gives me a chance to talk to Him and say what is on my mind.
 Yet sometimes when i am doing a boring task like washing dishes,cleaning the bathroom or cooking,I can sing to Him,praise Him and think of the many good things He has made.


 It must have been this way with the writer of this psalm. I am sure that the beauty of God's creation always kept him aware  of the vastness of God's wisdom.
 Or perhaps just the mundane tasks such as herding the sheep, feeding them or sitting with them close by was jsut as awe inspiring to the penner of this prose.

 God's wisdom and works are manifest to us all who love Him.,no matter what we are doing,grand stuff or small
Hmmmmm maybe I will go peel some potatoes now........................

It is so exciting to be able to walk a bit again.
Walking is like a journey to somewhere with many stops along the way and a chance to think about a bit of everything
walking can be a prayer if you allow it to be so
Today I walked to our church to do cleaning
and was met by a dear sister who is cheerful and better yet joyous!
she was a great help to me today in many ways
we even trotted off to Manna House, where many people are fed daily for free
I got to pray for two people
one had a broken hip
another had a brother who was shot in a hunting accident and was in hospital
\it was a different day
time to see how people lived who had little
a time to look at the main street in Newton and come to realize how little there is for people here
the stores are a bit far
the library has no programs for the children
even the area with stores only offers many stores for the affluent yet all around me was poverty
very interesting combo

WE ATTENDED THE MARRIAGE SUPPER OF THE LAMB
A NIGHT OF PRAISE AND WORSHIP
AND A VISION CAME TO ME
I HAD A REAL SENSE OF STENCH
LIKE A BAD SMELL SPIRITUALLY
AND GOD SAID HE WOULD TAKE AWAY THAT ODOR
NEXT HE SHOED ME A BEAUTIFUL LARGE GOLD LOCKET
HE SAID THE WORD LOCKET OR I HEARD IT CLEARLY
IT OPENED WITH A FRAGRANCE BALM IN IT
EACH OF US WAS GIVEN ONE AS A WEDDING GIFT
TO CARRY THE SWEET FRAGRANCE OF JESUS
EVERYWHERE WE GO
HOW WONDERFUL
 EVERY CORNER,CREVICE AND SIDEWALK
EVERY DOOR WINDOW AND HOME
EVERY LATCH,EVERY KEY AND EVERY PATH
ARE FILLING WITH THE SWEET AROMA OF JESUS
AS WE CLAIM NEWTON FOR HIM

mary douma was talking about Jesus dancing joyously over us on streets of gold
I saw Jesus dancing in atuxedo and top hat with a cane
with the biggest smile on his face so happy for us

now that is funny
god has a sense of humor

     Frankenstorm is gone but the remains are here in many ways still.
We have no power, the lines for gas are about 15 minute delays, and, the starbucks are full to the max with laptops and coffee lines out the door.

 Even the mall at Rockaway was full of people sitting wherever a plug was available and this includes floors and rail;ings.

 What would we all do if there was no power anywhere?
Would people go bonkers?
  I am just glad we have gas to cook and heat our water.
 Some people do not have this.
So anyhows we are fine and have survived the worst of it.
That is it.

So today is saturday last day of weekend october 2012
healing class
we went down to memory park to pray for the sick
met some people who were just feeling a bit down
said they did not need prayer
just wanted to talk
some were physically in need of healing but said they had been prayed for
i guess it was a dud day
but
got to meet a nice prayer lady
and some new people
so all good
storm coming
the perfect storm

i know things in my spirit and feel it in gut

guess Holy Spirit needs to give me a zap of supernatural riatlin

made chocolate chip bread in the bread machine
kinda yummy
not used to chocolate in my bread
so hard to be on new schedule now
we have been on the road since 2010
now just to be still in one city is weird
i feel like i am still back in a certain place almost miss it
it was the way we began our marriage
When we first get to know Jesus
I guess we get used to being a certain way with Him too
but that quickly changes
and always for growth
we may miss some things about that
I used to love reading the psalms on my front porch
third floor smack in frontof a huge tree
God met me in some special ways there
but times and things change
drastically
we miss the old because it was comforting and beautiful
and a special time to grow close to God
kinda like being on the road with noel made me closer to him
sharing car time, walks, small windows of fun together
and now new life, growth and new walks
all for the kingdom of God to burst foth more and more
amen
hmmmmmm
years from now
if i be here still

will look back and miss these days too

Today is a rainy day with lots of fall emoticons dropping here and there
there are happy faces everywhere if you look at all the carpets of leaves on the still green grass
and the air smells wonderful with a fresh scent better than any dryer sheet could muster up
a small breeze wakes you up and bing you are ready to take on the day
I wish life would be as simple as an autumn day
I wish God could be as simple to know as a leaf fallen to the ground or a breeze easily felt as it showers you with autumn kisses
 i do not like to play church
i am tired of that
it is hard to be spiritually up there
with all the up there people around
and prayer warriors need to be holy and mature
conferences cost money
healing is a practice i hope for  one that maybe I can see
i am taking a course

and it is difficult to even worship sometimes because the distractions in the church can be great
time limited
structure of service
and so on
i guess i do not know what to be
'or even what i want
but deep down inside
i just want to love God know him and serve him
that is all
that is it
and to love my neighbor as myself
will start here at home and go from there

what could be better than that?
day by day with Jesus

There is a forward being sent on email about a little homeless boy selling newspapers in the chill of winter.

 A policeman passes by and the boy asks him if he knew where he could sleep on such a cold night.
 The kind officer directs him to a white house down the street with these instructions before sending him:
 Knock on the door and when they answer say "John 3:16"

Well the story ends with the young boy doing this and he is fed, warmed up,bathed and put in the best bed ever.
'The next day when he is all clean and fresh as a  daisy and belly full he is fed the word of God, the bible's message of salvation in Jesus Christ.
 There are many churches that feed the poor,clothe them, maybe even a bed for the night.

 Yet they still go out hungry in their spirit.
They need God's word.
That spiritual hunger must be satisfied also.
 My desire is to feed the poor, in all ways.
I have seen enough social organizations put band aid solutions on the inter city problems.

I recenlty had the pleasure of volunteering in a local soup kitchen.
It was housed in a christian church.
And the people were given a lovely lunch but were sent away back to their lives without Jesus.
 
I have worked in the inter city programs for thirty years and have seen all kinds of people use,abuse and live off and on the "system"
It does not work at all.
People need Jesus and they need good spiritual food.
They need the comfort and love of a body of believers who will lay down their lives for their friends and will give away a coat if they have two.
They need to see a body that is so united in love , the love of Christ, that nothing would ever seperate them from that love.
They need to see signs,miracles and wonders.
They neeed restorationand a chance to learn and grow in the love of God.
That is what love looks like.
We do not need a rocket science degree to tell us that.Nor do we need a government board to direct us as how to distribute that love.
Jesus has laid it all out for us.
My sleeves are rolled up and I have been waiting too long with people to only offer them a temporary hope.

"Holy Spirit equip us with God's love and wisdom so we may see the glory of God come and His kingdom reign in our midst.People are waiting and they do not know what they are waiting for unless we display your love and grace in each other."In jesus name amen!

I have decided to be a raisinet fan
how many times have i overlooked these yummy little treats
sometimes i feel sorry for things that are overlooked
silly?
well sort of but a lot of stuff gets left out and it may be very good
kids have gifts that get left out or ignored or worse undiscovered
sometimes we want them to just be still when they may have important contributions to make

adults too
i was hoping that everyone would get to be raisenets in their lifetime

 everyone has a gift to share

be a raisenet and come out of that chocolate closet
explore some things cause God gave us so much
if you do not try ya never know
we are created in His image(that is in the book of Ephesians)

Today is a sunny day with a promise of God's love.
How can I be so sure of such a thing or you?
Simply that God has promised us He will NEVER leave us nor forsake us
how good is that?
I mean really now almighty God has promised us something so good that all we have to do is receive it
He sent Jesus here to die for us so we can be free of all the baloney we think is so important
eternity is so precious and so forever
i wanna be there with God
He so loves me
and you
what could ever be better than that?
I have my ticket
that is of course my faith in Jesus
so now each day is a day closer to that promise

HEAL THE SICK,RAISE THE DEAD,FEEED THEHUNGRY,GIVE HOMES TO THE HOMELESS,AND SO ON

This week is a pivotal week in the history of our church. Today during our service Pastor Tom announced that he was about to put forth in faith the dream of feeding the poor and sheltering the homeless.
 He said God gave him a vision for all the homeless ones we have in our church and all the ones in poor housing.
But he did not know where a  place was for this to happen.
 Just as he says this God puts in Noel's heart the idea of using the old monastery on Route 206 in Andover Township.
It is empty and some parts are a bit falling in but would still be a possible place to do all the outreach.
 So Noel presents the idea to Tom and we pray.
About two hours later, after Noel and I enjoyed a lovely lunch together, we went to the abbey to pray over it.
Seeing it physically would be better, Noel thought instead oif praying over a picture.
 I told Noel I would go to pray but I was not walking through the big, giant underbush.
But then God rebuked me and I told Noel I was sorry and get behind me Satan and we went to the abbey.
 It was pretty overgrown and the roof of the chapel was caved in. The doors were tightly shut and a sign saying Private Property Keep Off was firmly planted in the front yard.
Looking at that stone building made me think i was in a different era, in some pastoral land in rural England perhaps.
The windows were arched and there are so many of them.I imagine it would offer sunshine and warmth to this center.
 We prayed a bit and Noel blew the shofar. I am sure that God sent his angels of provision,restoration and planning there today.
 Late this evening I saw a message on my facebook from a woman at church. She was driving home from church and she got the same idea as Noel about this building. Immediately she told me this on facebook once she heard from a friend that Noel had thought of this place.
 Our church wants to feed the hungry,clothe the ones in need,heal the sick,raise the dead,cleanse the lepers and proclaim the kingdom of God is at hand.
The homeless are coming into our church and the ones released from prison.
They have nowhere to live.
Yet we want to create a place that will not make them dependant but instead feed and house them,offer them Jesus and educate them.We want to see people prosper and grow and learn.

 What a great start to a great plan today!Praise God!!!!!

It is with great admiration for hard work that I know Laura, a kind woman who devoted 17 years serving food to the homeless and poor.
 She has a smile that would make you feel important and happy too,happy to know her and be around her.
 Manna House feeds the poor of Newton,New Jersey five days a week in the very large hall of the Presbyterian church.
 Volunteers from many churches come to peel,chop,and wash fruits and vegetables.
Laura manages all well and with a beautiful smile.
She apologizes so sweetly for being "bossy" but I do not think she is at all bossy. She has command of her work and she loves it!
When we opened the door to the people today there were many waiting.
Everyone seems to know the system of lining up and getting their food at a little kitchen window.
Today we served up turkey with gravy,broccoli,fruit salad( all fresh fruit which we washed and chopped earlier),delicious rolls and some giant yummy cookies.
 I think I had the best job of all.

I got to serve the juice! While everyone stayed and worked in the kitchen I handed out the various juices to the people.
It gave me a good time to bless them and chat with them a bit.
God is so good. We have so much in this country, we are blessed.
Thank you Jesus!!!!!!

Today ia a sunny day with a small brezzy song.
No rains or gray clouds only a softer song of crickets in the nearby grasses.
 It has been mostly oe of those days that smack you in the stomach so that you need to sit and wail a bit.

 I find comfort in some of David's words at times like this because he was in the cave a lot.

 The truth about caves is that they are dark,cold and even bears and bats live there,eeeeeew!

I do NOT want to stay in that cave.
After all the sun is glorious outside but even better

the SON of God is more glorious so I choose to rejoice in Him.

Sundays are so relaxing after church
it can be any kind of a day rainy or sunny

i wonder if other days can feel this way..................

and i pray that in all my church family
and my own family that
we can learn the corinthians love verse well

and use it too

MY HUSBAND MADE A GOOD POINT ABOUT ALL THIS SQUIRREL BUSINESS.
HE SAID THEY BURY OR HIDE SO MANY ACORNS THEY PROBABLY FORGET WHERE THEY ARE.
WHICH,OF COURSE, IS WHY THEY HIDE SO MANY!

NOW I AM SURE THAT OHTER SQUIRRELS COME ALONG AND DIG UP EACH OTHERS TREASURES BUT IN THE END IT MATTERS NOT AS LONG AS THEY ALL GET A BIT OF FOOD.

HMMMM I CAN RELATE THIS TO A STORY OF THE SOWER AND THE SEED THAT JESUS TOLD.
IN THIS CASE WE ARE THE HIDERS OF THE ACORN AND THOSE WHO FIND IT MAY NOT BE THE ONES WE PLANTED IT FOR.
MAYBE OTHERS WILL COME ALONG AND GLEEN FROM OUR TREASURE AND THE ONES WE HAD HOPED TO REACH WILL BE FINDING THEIR ANSWER IN OTHERS PEOPLES SEED PLANTING.

AND IN THE END IT DOES NOT MATTER.
AS LONG AS JESUS CHRIST IS REACHED AND THE GOSPEL HEARD THE PLANTED SEED IS NOT EVER WASTED.

So we stopped at Columbia county to stretch
Boy scouts of hobbie penn selling food
Spoke with the cub master
He was living in a rural farm town
Said not many friends for his children
But school provides that
Nice people yummy food and now back to driving

Found a wawa and got some yummy fruit
Surprisingly clean restrooms yay
Kadoos to wawa of mt laurel
And now on to drive Landon and if you like the Mennonite way of life
Two Mennonite women

One young lady in a perfectly pressed blouse
Or else it was new
I mean not a crease and she had been traveling
Maybe god gives them a blessing of wrinkle free clothing

The sun is so hot today
Two hours into the trip and not a rest stop in site
Pennsylvania the home of Amish and ghettos
Early closing liquor stores and late closing beer sales
And nowhere for a lady to pee on rt 80
Next time I'll skip the water

After a busy morning we managed to get all done before our trip to California
Well cept for the vacuuming
We did get to it later
After a wonderful lunch with our pretty

So now it is like almost two hours later
I gotta pee and Pennsylvania rt 80 has no rest stops
Makes a lady wanna consider the woods

I WONDER IF WE WOULD INVITE HIM TO SPEAK AT OUR CHURCH

WHEN MY HUSBANDS FAMILY HAS A REUNION IT IS ALWAYS AT A DINER.
NOW ORDINARILY ONE MIGHT THINK THAT A GOOD IDEA BUT THINK FOR ONE MINUTE ABOUT HOW THIS WORKS.
YOU GET TO EAT WITH ALL YOUR RELATIVES AND NEVER HAVE TO CLEAN NOR COOK.
YOU GET TO SEE THEM FOR ONLY A SHORT TIME DURING WHICH YOUR CONVERSATION CAN BE CIVILIZED AND WITHOUT POLITICS RELIGION OR ANY CONTROVERSIAL TOPICS.
THE KIDS ARE A BIT LOUD BUT SOUND OKAY IN A DINER FULL OF MANY SHAPES AND SIZES AND VOLUMES.
 SO THEN WHAT IS SO BAD?
WELL FOR ONE I LIKE THE PERSONAL TOUCH,COOKING,GOOD DINNER CONVERSATION,THE CHILDREN GOING DOWNSTAIRS TO PLAY AND COFFEE ASSERT IN THE LIVING ROOM.
I ENJOY SEEING MY FAMILY IN A HOME SETTING WHERE WE CAN RELAX AS A GROUP AND THEN PAIR OFF TOGETHER TO TALK INDIVIDUALLY.
BOARD GAMES CAN BE PULLED OUT,PHOTO ALBUMS AND EVEN CLOTHES TO GIVE AWAY AND SHARE,RECIPES AND SO ON.
HOME OR OUT,WHAT IS YOUR OPINION?

I LOVE DAYS THAT END IN RAIN.
SOMEHOW IT JUST SEEMS SO PERFECT AN ENDING TO A HOT, CRANKY KINMDA DAY.
IF I GET ENOUGH ENERGY IN MY BODY, I CAN USUALLY GET ENOUGH THINGS DONE SO I CAN RELAX THROUGH THE STORM.

FRIDAYS ARE FISH DAYS AND THIS ONE IS NO EXCEPTION.
SALMON FOR DINNER AND HUBBY MAKES GREAT MARINADES.

what are your homecomings like?

Vacation begin and end in the strangest ways sometimes.
Today my daughter prepared a homecoming meal of tacos and sangria for my husband and I.
What a welcome home party that was.
Simple but in good taste and loving.
Sometimes we get these special blessings just when we least expect it.
I am glad to be home and love the way two of my cherry tomatoes were ready for picking in our container garden.
And there were no bills in the mail.
I suppose the only downfall was that the carpet needs vacuuming.
However my daughter did our dishes and washed the floor.
So it was really good to be home at last!

DAYS INN PLATTSBURGH

Ah here we are at Days Inn Plattsburgh.
Today we are guests with no business in mind.
Normally we have a huge week of photograpohy ahead of us but this day is ours to just relax and enjoy.

 Hotel stays are our life at least 8 months a year.
'We search for them in little brochures,online and through word of mouth.
Sometimes we have to find one at a moments notice anhd often we are pleasantly surprised at the offerings there are on the many price slasher sites.

Days Inn in Plattsburgh was such a fragrant find.
Though many unexpected bookings arrived at what seemed like "all at once" the clerk handled each cae with professionalism and a cheerful manner.

 Our reservation was in order and though we did not get a first floor as we expected we were quite happy with it due to the polite service and patience the young woman expressed at the front desk.

Ourroom was clean and wel aired.
The pool and jacuzzi as well and even the temperature in the jacuzzi was pleasant and the water clear and refreshing.

We are looking forward in the morning to a good breakfast and will let ya know how tht all turns out

today is a hot summer day

so what will we do?
hm a trip to the laundry is in order
yuck
i want to swim but we will see if it fits into our plan
mel is coming here to move a tv someone gave her
we are up to our necks in boxes just trying to prepare to move
and soon that day will be here
god willing
95 degrees today
rained early morning with thundershowers
just had a breakfast of oats and sausage
noel threw in a few gummy bears hee hee
on to the day

So today was a gardening morning planting out new ones and replanting old ones.
 This is like God's kingdom with new believers being sown and seasoned ones being stretched into new borders.
 Watering and lots of bending and moving about are all part of this arduous task and with grest reward.
God does so much thus for us,and, it is not without growing pains for us as well.

In the end well cared for blooms means blessed people for His glory!
